Evaluating a Novel Virtual Reality Paradigm Against a Standardised Laboratory-Based Paradigm - Version 2. (Dataset).
This repository contains data collected during a within-subject protocol comparing the induced psychophysiological stress responses across two paradigms: The Montreal Imaging Stress Task (MIST) A virtual reality (VR) experience developed in collaboration with Ninja Theory Ltd. Participants completed both stressors in a counterbalanced order, and physiological and subjective responses were recorded across multiple timepoints. A total of 83 participants provided self-report data on visual analogue scales, and physiological data (namely heart rate and respiration) are available for a subset (n=62), due to technical issues during recording. Note: This dataset (Version 2) supersedes a previous version of this record with an incorrect DOI.
