3D pose and head accelerometer-gyroscope data from freely moving rats (v1)

This dataset contains approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes of synchronized 3D pose and head inertial measurements from four adult male Long-Evans rats freely exploring a 70 × 70 cm open-field arena. 3D pose data were extracted from multi-view video recordings (5 cameras at 30 Hz) using the DeepLabCut and Anipose pipelines. Inertial data were recorded at 300 Hz using a head-mounted 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU). This dataset was the primary material for the development and validation of DISSeCT, an unsupervised pipeline for IMU-based behavioral mapping. It is designed to support the evaluation, benchmarking, and development of IMU-based rodent behavior analysis tools. Researchers can use this resource for both qualitative inspection of behavioral motifs and quantitative comparisons between IMU-based and video-based behavioral analysis methods.
