资源简介:
Despite their cultural, political and economic differences, both Victorian Britain and post-partition Poland shared the belief that women’s drinking was more harmful than men’s. This belief prompted different approaches to policing. The presented data focus on a detailed account of the Girgenti reformatory for female drinkers, which is an example of a formal approach to policing drunken women. Based on the Grigenti case book, we constructed a database containing all the patient details. This data collection contains the source material used for the article. The collection is made available on an open access basis. Details can be found in the README file.
