A method for producing a moulded article using potato waste， the method comprising: (i) fermenting the potato waste; and (ii) moulding and heating the fermented potato waste from step (i) to form a moulded article is provided. A moulded article produced by the method and the use of fermented potato waste to improve the mechanical properties of a moulded article are also provided.
