Conjugative probiotic impact on the microbiota evaluated by 16S ribotyping

The Conjugative Probiotic (COP) system consists of a probiotic bacterium capable of disseminating a CRISPR-Cas9 module for microbiome editing. The goal of this experiment is to evaluate the possible non-specific impact of the COP treatment on the gut microbiota of mice treated with the COP system. The mice feces were sampled daily during the experiment. Treatment groups comprised COP treated groups, Probiotic treated groups and a PBS treated group. The impact of the COP treatment and Probiotic treatment was evaluated for two administration dynamics.
