本数据集由国家农业科学数据中心（动物科学和动物医学）建设。 该数据集是在是1979至1983年全国有关院校及科研单位的饲料营养成分分析及消化、代谢试验数据的基础上，收集、整理、加工的数据主要包括奶牛用饲料的常规成分、钙、磷和产奶净能、可消化粗蛋白等数据。提供的数据包括饲料原样中和换算为绝干样中的饲料成分与营养价值数据。
