In this study, we collected EEG and EMG data from 16 subjects during the MI process and constructed a homemade MI-hBCI dataset. The participants included 10 males (mean age: 22.3±3.1 years) and 6 females (mean age: 22.1±2.4 years). All the subjects were right-handed, had normal vision, and had no motor impairment; all the participants signed a consent form and were informed of the experimental procedure and precautions before the experiment. The MI-hBCI dataset contains three categories of MI movements: left-handed movements, right-handed movements, and the resting state. We conducted 30 10-second MI experiments with each subject for a total of 420 sessions. The specific experimental procedure is shown in Fig. 3. Among the outputs, the EEGs were based on the international 10-20 system [49], which consists of 32 channels with a sampling frequency of 500 Hz; four EMG electrodes were located in the left biceps brachii, left triceps brachii, right biceps brachii, and right triceps brachii, with a sampling frequency of 500 Hz.
