Performance data of insulated paint on refrigerated equipment.

Refrigerated equipment requires an insulated body/container to limit the heat transfer between the exterior and interior. Current equipment is normally insulated with a polymer expanded into a solid foam matrix using a blowing agent. Recent legislation has led to changes in the blowing agent, due to environmental pressure to limit their GWP, with the consequence of less efficient insulation. With the advent of nanotechnology, several types of insulating paint products have emerged where it has been suggested that the existing insulation of a structure can be enhanced by their application. Data is presented on the thermal transmission of a panel van and a container coated with ‘insulating paint’.

制冷设备需配备隔热箱体/货柜，以限制内外环境间的热传递。当前此类设备通常采用经发泡剂作用形成实心泡沫基体的聚合物作为隔热材料。近年来，出于限制全球变暖潜能值（Global Warming Potential，GWP）的环保压力，相关立法推动了发泡剂的更新换代，却也导致隔热性能有所下降。随着纳米技术的发展，多款隔热涂料产品应运而生，有研究表明，通过涂刷这类涂料可增强现有结构的隔热性能。本数据集提供了涂刷有‘隔热涂料’的厢式货车及货柜的热传递相关数据。
