Dataset Work-conflicts in acacia ants

Data recorded from videos of field colonies from different sizes, while
workers were executing a solitary foraging task. Ants had color-marks
depending on the task they were performing, that were recoded as "leaf" and
"trunk" after scoring the videos. "Leaf ants" were workers marked at foraging
tasks on the leaves; "Trunk ants" were workers marked guarding the tree trunk
base. There are unmarked ants that were involved in head-on encounters and in
work-conflicts. Besides the binary variables of whether that foraging bout had
encounters or conflicts, we added the number of conflicts and encounters with
other workers. The data also includes total time the ant was observed(Focal
Ant time), time until the task was executed (Execution time), time the ants
spent in work-conflicts (Conflict time), all reported in seconds. There is
also a column explaining whether the food item was stored or removed from the
tree, and whether the final decision was made by the original worker who found
the item, or by a nestmate.

本数据集源自不同规模野外蚁群的监控录像，记录了工蚁执行单独觅食任务时的行为数据。工蚁根据其承担的任务佩戴颜色标记，在完成录像标注后，这些标记被归类为“叶部”与“树干”两类：“叶部工蚁”指在叶片上开展觅食活动的标记工蚁，“树干工蚁”则为负责守卫树干基部的标记工蚁。另有未佩戴颜色标记的工蚁，其行为涉及正面遭遇与工作冲突。除了用于表征单次觅食事件是否发生遭遇或冲突的二分类变量外，数据集还纳入了该工蚁与其他工蚁发生冲突与遭遇的次数。数据集同时涵盖以下以秒为单位的时长指标：工蚁的总观测时长（聚焦蚁时长，Focal Ant time）、任务启动至完成的耗时（执行时长，Execution time）以及工蚁参与工作冲突的总时长（冲突时长，Conflict time）。此外，数据集还设有一列字段，用于说明食物资源是否被储存或搬离该树木，以及最终决策由发现该食物的原觅食工蚁作出，还是由其巢伴作出。
