资源简介:
Description:
This dataset compiles intercity patient mobility data for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients in China from 2014 to 2018, integrating information from multiple sources. The dataset aims to analyze the geographic mismatch between healthcare resources and CKD patient needs, as well as the impact of high-speed rail (HSR) expansion on intercity healthcare accessibility.
The primary data source is the Hospital Quality Monitoring System (HQMS), a national patient-level database managed by the National Health Commission (NHC) of China, covering over 75% of tertiary hospitals (hospitals with at least 500 beds) across 31 provinces. CKD patient records were extracted based on ICD-10 diagnostic coding, identifying cases where CKD was either the primary diagnosis or one of the first two secondary diagnoses. The dataset captures yearly intercity patient mobility counts between city pairs.
The study period spans 2014–2018, avoiding potential biases caused by travel restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The final dataset includes 94,045 observations (18,809 city pairs × 5 years).
Additionally, HSR data is incorporated from CnOpenData, including:
HSR Implementation Year – The year when HSR became available between city pairs.
Shortest HSR Travel Time – Extracted from HSR timetables, available for 22,060 observations (4,412 city pairs × 5 years).
Data Fields:
Hospital Quality Monitoring System (HQMS)
Intercity patient mobility records for CKD patients extracted based on ICD-10 coding (count)
High-Speed Rail (HSR) Data from CnOpenData
whether HSR is available between city pairs in a given year (HSR)
Shortest HSR travel time (time)
