SIGNS OF DROWNING IN FORENSIC EXAMINATION

Abstract: This article is devoted to the forensic diagnosis of drowning. In addition to the well-known specific signs of drowning, special attention is paid to the identification of diatom plankton. It has been established that diatom plankton is specific to a particular body of water, and its structure can remain unchanged for decades due to the high persistence of its key characteristics. It should also be noted that the siliceous shell of diatoms can withstand high temperatures, strong acids, and alkalis. The stability of diatom plankton species makes it possible to determine the location of a drowning incident, as in certain bodies of water, plankton, while maintaining its structural properties, undergoes little or no change. The need to create a catalog of diatom plankton in the country's water bodies is noted.摘要：本文致力于溺水的法医诊断研究。除广为人知的溺水特异性征象外，本文还着重关注硅藻浮游生物的鉴别工作。研究证实，硅藻浮游生物具有特定水体的专属特性，且由于其关键特征具备高度持久性，其结构可在数十年间保持稳定。此外需指出，硅藻的硅质外壳可耐受高温、强酸与强碱环境。硅藻浮游物种种群的稳定性，使得确定溺水事件的发生地点成为可能——在特定水体中，浮游生物在维持自身结构特性的前提下，几乎不会发生变化或仅出现极细微的改变。文中还提及，亟需建立本国各水体的硅藻浮游生物名录。
