Investigating potential chemopreventive effect of polyphenols rich-pomegranate juice on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons-induced carcinogenesis

This study attempted to investigate, using a combination of microbiome and metabolome analyses, the chemopreventive effects of pomegranate juice on benzo a pyrene-induced pathologies of the colon in a Sprague-Dawley rat model as well as its potential effects on the gut microbiota compositional and metabolic balance.
