# Online data for "Asteroseismic predictions for a massive main-sequence merger product" (Henneco et al. 2025) This repository contains the in- and output files for the `MESA` and `GYRE` computations that are part of Henneco et al. (2025), as well as the online appendix with supplementary figures. ## Appendix **online_appendix.pdf** - PDF with the online appendix for the paper containing supplementary figures. ## MESA Data related to the `MESA` computations. **MESA version** MESA r12778 MESA SDK 20.3.2 ### INPUT `MESA` work directories for the merger product and genuine single star models. - **3dmhd_mesawork** - Work directory to relax the chemical and entropy profiles from the *3D MHD* merger product of Schneider et al. (2019) and evolve the resulting stellar structure. - **es_mesawork** - Work directory to relax the chemical profile resulting from *entropy sorting* and evolve the resulting stellar structure. A `Python` script with the entropy sorting routine and merger progenitor stellar structures can be found in `es_mesawork/initial_merger_models`. The latter were computed using the `merger_progenitor_mesawork` setup. - **pm_mesawork** - Work directory to relax the chemical and entropy profiles resulting from the `PyMMAMS` routine and evolve the resulting stellar structure. The `PyMMAMS` routine itself is not included in this repository, but will be made available as part of Heller et al. (in prep.). - **fa_mesawork** - Work directory to evolve a single star until a certain age and subsequently accrete a certain amount of mass in a specified fraction of the star's global thermal timescale (*fast accretion*). - **merger_progenitor_mesawork** - Work directory to create *single-star* merger progenitor structures used as input for the entropy sorting and `PyMMAMS` routines. `MESA` setup adapted from the one used to create the merger progenitor structures of the 3D MHD simulation of Schneider et al. (2019). - **gss_mesawork** - Work directory to evolve genuine single stars with a specified mass. ### OUTPUT History and profile output for the merger product and genuine single-star models. The `profileXX.data` files are those for the central hydrogen mass fractions specified in the paper: 0.60, 0.50, 0.40, 0.30, 0.20, 0.10, 0.01 (for the merger products, the central mass fractions for the genuine single stars differ slightly, see beginning of Sect. 4). The central mass fraction decreases with increasing profile numbers. #### genuine_single_stars - **mXY.Z** - `MESA` output for the genuine single star with an initial mass of XY.Z solar masses. #### merger_products - **3dmhd** - `MESA` output for the 3D MHD merger product. - **es** - `MESA` output for the entropy sorted merger product. - **pm** - `MESA` output for the `PyMMAMS` merger product. - **fa** - `MESA` output for the fast accretion merger product. ## GYRE In- and output files for the `GYRE` computations. **GYRE version** GYRE 7.0 MESA SDK 22.6.1 ### INPUT Templates for the `GYRE` computations. - **gyre_nonrot_template.in** - `GYRE` inlist for g modes without the effects of the Coriolis force. - **gyre_rot_template.in** - `GYRE` inlist for g modes with the effects of the Coriolis force under the Traditional Approximation of Rotation (TAR). - **gyre_nonrot_pmodes_template.in** - `GYRE` inlist for p modes without the effects of the Coriolis force. - **gyre_rot_pert_pmodes_template.in** - `GYRE` inlist for p modes with the effects of the Coriolis force through the first-order perturbative approach. ### OUTPUT `GYRE` summary files for the merger product and genuine single-star models. #### genuine_single_stars - **m16.9**, **m17.0**, **m17.15** - summary files for g modes (`gmodes`) and p modes (`pmodes`) without the effects of the Coriolis force for each of the profiles in the `MESA` output directories. - **m17.4** - summary files for g modes (`gmodes`) and p modes (`pmodes`) with (`_rot`) and without the effects of the Coriolis force for each of the profiles in the `MESA` output directories. #### merger_products - **es**, **pm**, **fa** - summary files for g modes (`gmodes`) and p modes (`pmodes`) without the effects of the Coriolis force for each of the profiles in the `MESA` output directories. - **3dmhd** - summary files for g modes (`gmodes`) and p modes (`pmodes`) with (`_rot`) and without the effects of the Coriolis force for each of the profiles in the `MESA` output directories.
