Evaluation of eDGE (eSTEM Designing Games for Education)

The eDGE: eSTEM Designing Games for Education aims to collaboratively design and integrate mathematics-intensive computational thinking activities, which are relevant and interesting for all students. Classrooms infused with the eDGE Project guide students to design and program games and simulations that address mathematical concepts including: probability, proportional reasoning, statistical reasoning, functions, and the use of local and global variables. The eDGE Project empowers students to explore mathematics and science concepts at a deep level using programming and computational thinking. At the same time, the project addresses district, state, and national standards for math, computer science, and STEM education.
