We conducted a greenhouse experiment examining the contribution of microbes to plant local adaptation. We collected genotypes of Bromus tectorum from a variety of locations varying in their soil salinity. We then grew these genotypes in the greenhouse under variable salinity and microbial conditions, and measured their biomass and survival.
