Recombinant human thrombomodulin treatment against endotoxemia-induced myocardial injury

We made LPS induced myocardial injury model mice, and determined the effect of recombinant human thrombomodulin against myocardial injury. Following 16-h starvation, mice were intraperitoneally injected with LPS (20 mg/kg; MilliporeSigma, Burlington, MA), and in some assays, with saline or recombinant human thrombomodulin (rhTM; Asahi Kasei Pharma Corporation, Tokyo, Japan) at 3 and 24 h post-LPS injection. Total RNA was extracted from mouse heart 30h after LPS injection.
