资源简介:

Description This repository contains the input datasets and supporting files required to reproduce the illustrative gravity and magnetic forward modelling example presented in the follwing publication: Bellefleur, G., et al. Map2GeoModelGravMag: A Python framework for generating synthetic 3D geological models and gravity–magnetic datasets from geological maps. The materials compiled here are intended solely to facilitate reproducibility of the modelling workflow and software example described in the publication. All geoscientific datasets included in this archive were previously released through public sources and remain subject to the terms of their original licences. No new geoscientific data products are introduced in this repository. The original geophysical datasets are available through the Geological Survey of Canada's Geophysical Data Portal: https://geophysical-data.canada.ca/Portal/Search The source of the geological compilation is described in Syme et al. (1998). Repository contents The repository includes: Geological map data: Shapefile extracts derived from the NATMAP Shield Margin compilation used to initialize the three-dimensional geological models (Syme et al., 1998). The subset corresponds to the Snow Lake modelling example described in the accompanying publication. Lithological remapping table: An Excel spreadsheet defining the correspondence between the original lithostratigraphic codes contained in the geological map and the generalized classes used for stochastic geological modelling. The file also documents the petrophysical groupings adopted by the software workflow. Magnetic field data: The subset of the aeromagnetic compilation of Keating et al. (2012) used in the illustrative example. Gravity data: The gravity component(s) extracted from the airborne gravity gradiometer survey acquired in the Snow Lake area and released by Kiss et al. (2024). Purpose The purpose of this repository is to provide a complete and transparent example dataset that enables users to reproduce the modelling workflow, evaluate the software implementation, and generate the synthetic gravity and magnetic responses presented in the accompanying manuscript. The archived files represent the minimum set of inputs required to execute the example configuration distributed with the software. Data provenance and reuse All datasets contained in this repository originate from sources that were previously made publicly available by their respective custodians. Their inclusion in this archive is intended to improve reproducibility and ease of access for readers of the associated publication. Users are encouraged to cite both this Zenodo record and the original data publications when using these datasets. The original sources are: Syme, E.C., Lucas, S.B., Zwanzig, H.V., Bailes, A.H., Ashton, K.E., and Haidl, F.M. (1998): NATMAP Shield Margin geological compilation.
