Data are presented as mean (SD) or median (IQR). The subjects were grouped according to quintiles of serum uric acid: quintile 1 (≤295 µmol/L), quintile 2 (296–332 µmol/L), quintile 3 (333–367 µmol/L), quintile 4 (368–409 µmol/L), and quintile 5 (≥410 µmol/L), for male; and quintile 1 (≤205 µmol/L), quintile 2 (206–232 µmol/L), quintile 3 (233–262 µmol/L), quintile 4 (263–298 µmol/L), and quintile 5 (≥299 µmol/L), for female. HDL, high-density lipoprotein; LDL, low-density lipoprotein. aP values are based on χ2 test for categorical data and on Kruskal-Wallis H test or one-way analysis of variance for continuous data, depending on the normality of the data.
