The news article corpus curated by Antonio Gulli contains over 1 million news articles. Collected over a period of more than one year, these articles were gathered by ComeToMyHead, an academic news search engine that has been operating since July 2004, from more than 2,000 news sources. This dataset is made available by the academic community for applications including data mining (clustering, classification, etc.), information retrieval (ranking, search, etc.), XML, data compression, data streams, and any other non-commercial activities. A subset of this corpus, AG News, which comprises the four largest categories, is a popular topic classification dataset.
