Share of touristic trips in which air travel was used in Japan FY 2013-2022

In the fiscal year 2022, air travel was utilized in 14.1 percent of trips with touristic purposes in Japan. The most common method of transportation for touristic travel were trips effectuated via private cars, followed by trips that used JR-owned railways.
