Susceptibility to Plateau Effect of Improving the Professional Competency Level of High-Speed Railway Dispatchers

The professional competency level of high-speed railway (HSR) dispatchers is key to the efficiency and safety of high-speed railway operations.This study employed standardized testing methods to collect test scores of high-speed railway dispatchers' professional competency levels, resulting in a regular curve of improvement in their professional competency levels.Through this regular curve, it was discovered that the improvement of professional competency levels has a time effect, with scores briefly rising at the beginning of the second phase before stabilizing, then stagnating, or even declining, indicating that improvement in professional competency levels is affected by the plateau effect.This study took 97 HSR dispatchers from Chengdu Railway Bureau as the research sample, using psychometric scales to measure personality traits, emotional regulation, goal orientation, and other personality system factors, as well as collecting demographic factors of the subjects.Correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were used to explore the impact of personality system and demographic factors on professional competency level, as well as individual psychological susceptibility factors to the plateau effect.The results found that HSR dispatchers with a lack of experience, lower educational level, and performance-avoidance goal orientation might be more susceptible to the plateau effect.
高速铁路(High-Speed Railway, HSR)调度员的专业胜任力水平,是保障高速铁路运营效率与安全的核心要素。本研究采用标准化测试方法采集高速铁路调度员的专业胜任力测试得分,由此构建了其专业胜任力的提升规律曲线。通过对该曲线的分析发现,专业胜任力的提升存在时间效应:在第二阶段初期得分短暂上升后趋于平稳,随后进入停滞甚至下滑阶段,表明专业胜任力的提升会受到高原效应的影响。本研究以成都铁路局的97名高速铁路调度员为研究样本,借助心理测量量表对被试的人格特质、情绪调节、目标定向等人格系统因素进行测评,同时收集了被试的人口统计学特征信息。本研究通过相关性分析与层级回归分析,探究了人格系统因素、人口统计学因素对专业胜任力水平的影响,以及个体心理易感因素与高原效应的关联关系。研究结果显示,经验匮乏、学历水平较低且具有绩效回避型目标定向的高速铁路调度员,更易受到高原效应的影响。
