Calibrated ChIP-seq for meiotic-specific cohesin (Rec8) and mitotic-specific cohesin (Scc1) in budding yeast cells arrested in metaphase of mitosis

Genome binding/occupancy profiling by high throughput sequencing Purpose: The goal of this study is to look at differences in genome wide localization of cohesin when budding yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is forced to use the meiosis-specific cohesin, Rec8, instead of its mitotic counterpart, Scc1, during the mitotic cell cycle.
