Bioreactors seeded with stool from healthy donors and treated with clindamycin followed by C. difficile were fitted with inserts harboring Mock or MUC2-APTS-coated cover slips. MUC2 was purified from human LS174T and HT29-MTX cell lines. Community structure of the MUC2-coated coverslips was assessed by 16S rDNA sequencing.
