本数据集包含泥丘（Mud Hill）产地出露的主要岩性及其所含砂级组分的显微照片：左侧展示岩石结构，右侧展示从各岩石中提取的砂级组分特征。具体包括：(1) 典型红色页岩的岩石结构与砂级组分；(2) 典型粉砂岩的岩石结构与砂级组分；(3) 典型钙结核（caliche nodule）的岩石结构与砂级组分。每张照片的垂直边长均为2.5 mm。
