The mechanism of 3-HP tolerance related to YieP was elucidated. The genome-wide analysises were carried out to find out the genes reponsible for 3-HP tolerance. Overall design: E. coli W strains (wild-type and yieP deletion) were cultured in modified M9 minimal medium with 100 mM glycerol as the carbon source. Genome-wide transcription of these strains was compared in the presence and absence of 3-HP.
