This repository contains all CFD datasets and associated files created using DTU Wind's in-house code EllipSys within the LERCat project funded by the Danish Energy Council (EUDP-64021-2027). The LERCat project was a collaborative effort involving DTU Wind, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S, LM Wind Power A/S, Suzlon Energy Nederlands Branch, PowerCurve ApS.The datasets comprises outputs from 2D and 3D CFD simulations of clean, rough and eroded aerofoils as well as all surface meshes. A csv file (LERCat-CFD_polars.csv) provides easy access to all integral aerodynamic coefficients (see LERCat-CFD_polars_column-descriptions.csv for detailed header definitions), whilst a pickle file (LERCat-CFD.pkl) holds a single nested python dictionary with all CFD outputs including surface data. It furthermore contains the raw and processed erosion topographies evaluated during the LERCat project as well as the 2D and 3D surface meshes with and without erosion. <br><br>The LERCat-CFDdata_demo.ipynb jupyter notebook shows how to interact and use the datasets. The README provides more detailed information regarding how to get started working with the data.
