Silicon fertilization to abate arsenic contamination and to improve the productivity of rice cultivated on arsenic-contaminated soils is gaining momentum. This BioProject is based on a mechanistic understanding of the impacts of silicate fertilization on microbial community structure and functions potentially regulating arsenic behavior and ecosystem functions under arsenic-stressed agro-systems, which remains elusive.
