This dataset supports the meta-analysis titled “Acute Modulation of Physiological Tremor by Physical Exercise and Resistance Training: A Meta-Analysis of Quantitative Neuromuscular Responses in Healthy Adults.” The study systematically synthesized experimental data on how various forms of physical exertion, including resistance training and isometric tasks, influence physiological tremor amplitude and frequency in healthy adults. It focused on validated tremor metrics such as root mean square (RMS) amplitude and peak power. The dataset contains records of 140 screened studies, of which 13 were included in the final quantitative synthesis. A random-effects meta-analysis revealed a significant overall reduction in physiological tremor amplitude following physical activity (Hedges’ g = –0.42), with a more pronounced effect for resistance training protocols (Hedges’ g = –1.03). The analysis identified tremor as a sensitive neuromechanical marker of acute motor unit behavior, fatigue, and central-peripheral drive modulation. The uploaded files include: Supplementary Table S4: Full list of 140 screened studies with bibliographic and methodological annotations; Supplementary Table S1: Risk of Bias Assessment (JBI Checklist); Supplementary Table S2: Certainty of Evidence (GRADE framework); PRISMA Flowchart: Documentation of study selection process; Meta-analysis Summary Files: Effect sizes, forest plots, funnel plots. This work follows PRISMA 2020 guidelines and incorporates sensitivity analyses, subgroup comparisons (e.g., isometric vs. eccentric tasks), and heterogeneity diagnostics (Q, I², τ²). The findings emphasize the value of physiological tremor analysis as a non-invasive indicator of acute neuromuscular state, with applications in sports science, rehabilitation, and motor control research.
