Burkholderia multivorans NKI379 is isolated from cropped soil in Taiwan. This strain exhibits an antagonistic effect against the growth of B. pseudomallei, a causative agent of melioidosis. To explore the antimicrobial genes, the genome sequences of strain NKI379 were analyzed.
