Exploring the Hurdles Faced by English Department University Students in Dhaka in Developing Listening and Speaking Skills

A survey was utilized to gather information from fifty-three students enrolled in a Dhaka private institution. Three components comprised the questionnaire: five questions on background information, ten questions on listening abilities, and eleven questions on speaking skills. Each segment was graded on a five-point scale. Two open-ended questions were used for descriptive data after statistical analysis had normalized the data.
