Kulliyyât-i-Amîr Khusrau. This manuscript is now IO Islamic 1189 in the India Office collections. [metadata: Hermann Ethé, Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts in the Library of the India Office, 2 vols. (Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1, number 338 here with notations and hyperlinks]. 1189 Amîr Khusrau’s four dîwâns. Another copy of the four dîwâns of Amîr Khusrau, viz.: 1.Tuḥfat-alṣighar, the first, dîwân; beginning of the prose-preface, on fol. 1b, as in No. 412 (1187 in this Cat.): حمدى كه از اوّل الخ. Beginning of the poetry, on fol. 8a margin: خداى عزّ وجل الخ. It consists here of ḳaṣîdas, ghazals, and ḳiṭ’as; the same mathnawî as in the two preceding copies, beginning, on fol. 48b margin: هى هى اى تيره راى الخ; and a series of rubâ’îs (on fol. 51b sq.). The right order of ff. 1-9 is: 1-3, 8, 4-7, 9. 2.Wasaṭ-alḥayât, the second dîwân; beginning of the prose-preface, on fol. 63b: بفضل الله قد سطرت الخ. Beginning of the poetry, on fol. 68b margin: شايد از هنگام نقش اين ثناى كبريا الخ. It consists here of ḳaṣîdas, ḳiṭ’as, ghazals (on fol. 125a sq.), and two series of rubâ’îs (on ff. 158b-164b margin, and 182a-188a margin). 3.Ghurrat-alkamâl, the third dîwân, without the prose-preface. Beginning of the poetry, on fol. 189b: چه زهره خاك الخ . It consists here of ḳaṣîdas, short mathnawîs, ḳiṭ’as, ghazals, and rubâ’îs (on fol. 292a margin). 4.Baḳiyya-i-Naḳiyyah, the fourth dîwân; the prose-preface here is the usual one of the third dîwân, beginning, on fol. 305b: الله اطلع الغرر من مطلع الخ . Beginning of the poetry, on fol. 337b: بقيّه ايست نقيّه زفيض طبع من اين كه چون طبائع افلاك محكم است متين As a comparison with No. 756 of the Bodleian Cat. and Rieu ii. p. 613a shows, this is the introductory distich or verse of the ‘Silsilah,’ see above, No. 1186, 2. This dîwân consists of ḳaṣîdas, ghazals, a series of short mathnawîs, ḳiṭ’as, and rubâ’îs (on fol. 476a). Both the margin and the inner side of the pages are injured in many places. Two dates appear, viz. 16th of Shawwâl, A.H. 1011 (A.D. 1063, March 29), at the end of the first dîwân, and 24th of Rabî’-alâkhar, A.H. 1012 (A.D. 1603, October 1), at that of the third; the transcriber’s name was Madârî, son of Ḥâjî Shâhin of Dihlî (العبد الكاتب مدارى ولد حاجى الحرمين الشريفين حاجى شاهن دهلوى ). No. 338, ff. 481, 2 centre-coll., each ll. 17, and a third on the margin, ll. 26; clear Nasta’lîḳ; illuminated frontispieces on ff. 1b, 63b, 305b, and 337b; size, 107/8 in. by 61/2 in.
