It includes U.S. railroad networks, emergency response structures (such as hospitals and fire stations), the National Risk Index (particularly the earthquake risk component), county boundaries, road networks, historical earthquake catalogs, fiber optic seismology data, and the Quaternary fault and fold database. The dataset has been processed to filter data relevant to earthquake risk and generate a numeric map of earthquake risk categories, designed to support applications like the SeismometerNetworkBuilder web tool.
