This dataset contains for 3 stations, ATTO, SMEAR-II (Hyytiälä) and Zeppelin (Svalbard) and for three GCMs (NorESM, EC-Earth and ECHAM-SALSA): - precipitation extracted alalong back trajectories calculated using HYSPLIT and extracted from the models using nearest-neighboor interpolation. - Aerosol size and composition data from the grid box covering each station in the bottom layer of the model. Finally the ERA5 files contain observations based on the data published from Khadir et al (2023, 10.1029/2023GL104325) available for download at https://zenodo.org/records/7907474, but the precipitation data is extracted from regridded ERA5 (to 1x1 deg resolution) in the same way as for the models (nearest-neighboor interpolation). The dimensions of the data are - time_traj: hours of the back trajectory - time: time of the "observation"/"modelled obs" in UTC- diameter or D: aerosol particle diameter in nmThe variables are:- Rainfall: precipitation rate in mm/h- lat: latitude of the trajectory- lon: longitude of the trajectory- dNdlog10D or pnsd: particle number size distribution Note that the publication associated with this data is not yet published and additions may be made to the dataset during the review process.
