Drifter Trajectories on the Alabama Shelf, July 2011 to April 2012

Near-surface currents on the Alabama shelf were autonomously sampled using GPS-enabled ocean drifters. Multiple deployments were made during the period July 2011 to April 2012. The supplied data include position-time information for 48 unique drifters as well as CTD profile data measured at the time of drifter deployment.

本数据集借助搭载全球定位系统（Global Positioning System, GPS）的海洋漂流浮标，对阿拉巴马陆架的近表层海流进行了自主采样监测。观测部署工作于2011年7月至2012年4月期间多次开展。本次提供的数据包含48个独立漂流浮标的位置-时间信息，以及浮标投放时刻同步采集的温盐深（Conductivity-Temperature-Depth, CTD）剖面数据。
