RUME 2010 survey data

These data come from the RUME (RUral Microfinance and Employment) survey carried out in 2010 among 405 households in 10 villages in the districts of Cuddalore and Viluppuram, in the rural region of Tamil Nadu (South India). This is the first wave of a multi-thematic household survey (employment, financial practices, agriculture, education, migration). The next waves are called NEEMSIS. Two documentation files in PDF format are provided: (1) \"ODRIIS_RUME_manual\", the survey manual explaining survey methodology, file descriptions and the content of files and variables; (2) \"ODRIIS_RUME_HHquest\", the household questionnaire. Four Stata files (.dta) are provided: RUME-HH; RUME-loans_mainloans; RUME-occupations; RUME-migrations. To ensure anonymity, names and addresses have been removed. The name of the village has also been scrambled.

本数据集源自2010年开展的农村小额信贷与就业（RUral Microfinance and Employment，简称RUME）调查。该调查覆盖印度南部泰米尔纳德邦（Tamil Nadu）农村地区库达洛尔县（Cuddalore）与维鲁普兰县（Viluppuram）的10个村庄，共纳入405户家庭作为调研对象。本次调查为多主题家庭调查的首轮调研，涵盖就业、金融实践、农业、教育与移民五大领域。后续轮次调查命名为NEEMSIS。如需了解该调查的更多详情，请访问RUME官方网页。本次数据集附带两份PDF格式的说明文档：其一为《ODRIIS_RUME_manual》，即阐释调查方法、文件说明及变量与文件内容的调查操作手册；其二为《ODRIIS_RUME_HHquest》，即家庭调查问卷。同时提供四份Stata格式（.dta）的数据文件，分别为RUME-HH、RUME-loans_mainloans、RUME-occupations与RUME-migrations。为保障受访者匿名性，所有姓名与住址均已删除，村庄名称亦已进行混淆处理。
