Whole exome sequencing of Felis catus

This dataset contains the first whole exome sequencing (WES) results for the domestic cat. The sequence capture probes were designed based on annotations from the Felis_catus_9.0 genome assembly. Altogether there are 41 cats, including breeds, mixed breeds and random breds. Ten samples were sequenced with matched whole genome sequencing controls to test the effectiveness of the WES platform for variant discovery. The other 31 samples were chosen based on their phenotypes for de novo identification of potentially causative variants.
