Monthly Transit Service Estimates (Based on Weekly Transit Service Reference)

NOTE: With Federal Register Notice 91 FR 1856, the Federal Transit Administration approved a proposed recission of the WE-20 reporting requirement. As of January 15, 2026, transit agencies no longer submit weekly ridership data. The data in the this dataset captures the final reporting period prior to the recission and should be considered a static dataset with no new data forthcoming. For more information, please see the Federal Register Notice detailing the recission at the following link: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/01/15/2026-00651/rescission-of-the-national-transit-database-weekly-reference-reporting-requirement This is a view of the Weekly Transit Service Reference dataset which produces a monthly estimate for the given transit agency, mode, type of service, month, and data point. To estimate, first the values for weekday and weekend service for the given data point (e.g., Revenue Miles) are added together. Then a monthly estimate is derived by multiplying by the number of days in the month.
