This dataset presents the results of batch sorption experiments conducted on a set of selected waste-derived and natural sorbent materials, including demolition wastes, bone biochar, shells, zeolite, and igneous rock. The study evaluates their sorption capacity toward phosphates, zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), and selected rare earth elements (REEs). Experiments were performed using standard aqueous solutions of the target elements, with a fixed solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:20 (material:solution) and a contact time of 24 hours. The dataset provides comparative insights into the sorption efficiency of different materials and supports the assessment of waste-based sorbents for environmental remediation and resource recovery applications. The data were generated as part of a doctoral research project.
