## **Abstract** \n\nThe dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement.\n\nThe processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. \n\n\n\nDry Ash Free Gas content and gas isotope data from drill core samples from various geological units were for the Galilee subregion. The geological units are the Upper Permian coal measures, Aramac Coal Measures of the Galilee Basin, and the Winton Formation which is a part of the Eromanga Basin. The gas content data was utilised to show the distribution of gas in the Upper Permian coal measures and to look at variation in gas contents with depth below surface.
