资源简介:

Air Quality Index (AQI) data derived from air monitoring sites in the Louisville Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). This dataset includes the highest daily AQI values recorded for six major pollutants, as well as date, site information, data source, and category. Columns 1-7 are associated with the overall highest daily AQI value for the Louisville MSA, while the other columns are associated with the highest daily AQI values for the Louisville MSA for specific pollutants. The site information only applies to the overall highest daily AQI value for the Louisville MSA, and the specific pollutant AQI values are not necessarily associated with the same site.

All AQI values were downloaded from EPA's AirData web page using the “download daily data” and “multiyear tile plot” tools. Note that AQI data may originate from EPA's Air Quality System (AQS) or the AirNow website. AirNow data have not been fully validated and should not be considered authoritative.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a scale used to communicate air quality conditions and their potential impact on public health. AQI values, which range from 1-500, are sorted into six health-based categories: Good, Moderate, Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, Unhealthy, Very Unhealthy, and Hazardous.

The AQI is calculated for five common air pollutants that are monitored in our air: ground-level ozone, particle pollution, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. The highest pollutant on any given day, or the “Top Pollutant,” sets that day’s AQI for an area.

This dataset feeds into the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District's AQI Power BI Dashboard.
