Enterobacter cloacae BS1 was isolated from maize root collected from Igbobini, Ondo State, Nigeria. The bacterium was screened for plant growth-promoting traits and explored as bioinoculants on maize seeds. The bioinoculation efficacy of the copious bacterium revealed its potential as suitable candidates in ensuring ecofriendly agriculture and food security in the costal line environment.
