Bird species whose Digital Distribution Maps were examined for comission errors

A list of 1,007 bird species that occur in the Amazon, and whose Digital Distribution Maps were examined for comission errors. Digital Distribution Maps are downloaded from http://www.iucnredlist.org/. All species were evaluated in terms of the habitat where they occur, and classified as either occurring in seasonally flooded forest or not occurring in seasonally flooded forests. We then identified the species that had commission errors, i.e., species mapped as occurring throughout the entire Amazon, but that are not reported to occur in seasonally flooded forest.

本数据集收录了1007种分布于亚马逊流域的鸟类，并针对其数字分布地图（Digital Distribution Maps）的误报误差（commission error）进行了核查。本次研究涉及的所有数字分布地图均下载自http://www.iucnredlist.org/。研究人员对所有物种的栖息生境进行评估，将其划分为“栖息于季节性泛滥森林”与“不栖息于季节性泛滥森林”两大类。随后，研究人员识别出存在误报误差的物种：即那些被标注为遍布整个亚马逊流域，但实际未被记录栖息于季节性泛滥森林的物种。
