Ocean acoustic tomography was used to measure mode-1, baroclinic tides radiating from the Hawaiian Ridge in 1987 during the Reciprocal Tomography Experiment (RTE87). Using reciprocal transmissions, the tomographic arrays measured the temperature signatures of the coherent radiation of mode-1 internal tides from the Ridge, together with barotropic tidal currents. This publication makes available the tomographic estimates for time series of mode-1 internal-wave amplitudes derived from the three paths of the RTE87 tomography array. The array was also used to accurately measure barotropic currents, dominated by tidal variations; these data are available separately.
