Otuk Creek Discharge Data (Excel) [Sturm, M.]

This dataset contains snowmelt data from Otuk Creek. Flow was measured from a bridge over the creek in the following manner: A weight was suspended from a graduated line. This was dropped into the creek from the bridge at 1-m intervals. An observer positioned on the side of the creek read the depth. Chips were dropped into the creek and their transit time recorded over a 25-m course; from this the surface velocity was computed. Combining depth and velocity, the discharge was calculated and used to calibrate a continuous stage height record for discharge. NOTE: This dataset contains the data in Excel format.

本数据集包含奥图克溪（Otuk Creek）的融雪径流数据。流量通过溪上桥梁开展测定，具体流程如下：将重物悬挂于刻度绳索一端，从桥梁处以1米为间隔将重物投入溪流，由驻留溪岸的观测人员读取水深。同时将浮片投放至溪流中，记录其在25米测试河段内的通行时长，据此计算水流表面流速。结合水深与流速数据，可计算得到径流量，并以此校准基于水位高度的连续流量记录。注：本数据集以Excel格式存储。
