eDNA metabarcoding data from three different marine coastal environments was obtained using sediment. Samples were either treated with LifeGuard solution or frozen without buffer within a few hours of collection. Analysis of sequencing quality, alpha diversity and beta diversity reveals no significant impact of the preservation method on ecological conclusions used for monitoring
