1The Logrank test investigates the null hypothesis that that the Kaplan Meier curves for all groups are identical (i.e. that the treatment did not change the time taken to reach the event being analysed). Low P-values are therefore indicative of differences between curves that did not occur due to chance. The threshold for significance was set at P2To perform the log-rank test for trend, experimental groups were arranged in order of increasing dose (Control, then 0,5 mg/ml, 2 mg/ml and 5 mg/ml) and a P value testing the null hypothesis that there was no linear trend between group order and median time to event was then calculated.
