Circulation of Klebsiella pneumoniae strains between the termites, chimpanzees and humans

A study carried out in West Africa, more precisely in Senegal, enabled the genomic and bioinformatics analysis of Klebsiella isolates from termites and chimpanzees. Certain genomic sequences of its Klebsiella isolates were Klebsiella pneumoniae strains, known to be both multidrug resistant in humans and pathogenic for chimpanzees.
