The data set contains the results of studies on the electrocatalytic properties of NiCo2S4/CoMo2S4 heterojunction catalyst derived from metal–organic framework (MOF) for hydrogen production. The obtained results showed that NiCo2S4/CoMo2S4 exhibits highly efficient catalytic performance for anodic urea electrolysis and cathodic hydrogen evolution as well as good working efficiency in real urinary wastewater conditions. The NiCo2S4/CoMo2S4 composite urea electrolyzer requires a low cell voltage of 1.4 V to achieve a current density of 10 mA cm−2, which is superior to that of the earth-abundant transition metal multifunctional catalysts demonstrated in previous works.
