Microbially-produced fertilizer provides endophytic and epiphytic bacteria to hydroponic-cultivated tomato roots

We have recently developed microbially-produced fertilizer for hydroponic, which is mainly composed of nitrate. To investigate the effect of microbial fertilizer (MF) on the plant growth, S. lycopersicum was grown by hydroponic method with the MF or commercial inorganic fertilizer, and the microbiomes of the rhizosphere and the liquid phase were analyzed using confocal microscopy and high-throughput sequencing.
