Microbial Refugia of the McMurdo Dry Valleys

Several valleys across the McMurdo Dry Valley ecosystem were investigated, comparing lower elevation sites that have likely been glaciated in the last glacial Maximum (14kya) to higher elevation or otherwise potential refugia sites that escaped this last glaciation event to compare the microbiome of these two types of sites and investigate a potential biological line of evidence for the presence or absence of these glacial refugia.
